New teaching staff for medical colleges

BANGALORE: As per the High Court, the Medical Education department has announced a fresh provisional list for the appointment of non-teaching staff to Mysore and Hassan Medical colleges.Medical Education Minister A Ramadas told reporters here on Wednesday that the list was prepared on the basis of merit and the merit of the candidates was decided on the basis of their pre-exam qualification and their performance in the exams and interview.The minister said that 15 days time had been given to file objections. After that final list would be announced.The High Court had recently quashed the earlier appointments in these colleges after finding several irregularities. Appointments were held for 45 posts in Mysore medical college and 307 posts in Hassan medical college.The department has decided to book criminal cases against 12 doctors for getting jobs in Mandya medical college by providing false documents with regard to their qualification and teaching experience.
