CHENNAI: The Madras High Court has ordered notice to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and to the Central Council forIndian Medicine on a writ petition seeking to quash an order dated January 21 this year denying permission to the running of the Government Siddha Medical College in Palayamkottai.Justice S Rajeswaran ordered the notice on Wednesday, returnable by February 27 while admiting a writ petiton from Dr T Arutselvan of Nagapattinum district, an aggrieved student of the Palayamkottai college. The petition prayed for a direction to the authorities concerned to grant permission and allow the students to undergo and complete MD(Siddha) course at the Palayamkottai college for 2011-12.
