KOCHI: The foundation stone for the library building of the National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) will be laid on Friday at Kalamassery. Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb will lay the stone at 3 pm.The library building is being constructed as part of the second phase of campus development with the financial assistance from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the State Government. Justice K T Thomas, former Judge, Supreme Court, will inaugurate the 2012 Philip C Jessup international law moot court competition, Surana and Surana India South rounds.N K Jayakumar will preside over the function. K P Dandapani, Advocate-General of Kerala, will deliver the keynote address. Executive council member Thomas Unniyadan MLA and T S Ajith, member, Bar Council of India and S Ravichandran, Surana and Surana International Attorneys, Chennai, will offer the felicitations.P Leelakrishnan, member, executive council, NUALS, will deliver the welcome speech. Jacob Joseph, faculty advisor, National University of Advanced Legal Studies Moot Court Society, will propose the vote of thanks.
