BANGALORE: Home and Bangalore Urban InCharge Minister R Ashok has a given a month's time to Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to fill up all the potholes in the city.
At a review meeting with Commissioner Siddaiah and the Chairman of the Public Works Committee, he directed the corporation to take sufficient measures to fix more than 7,000 potholes in the city."Out of 32,380 potholes, 25,000 have been fixed. I have given corporation a time frame of 15 days to cover potholes in the future", he said.

He said that he had conducted an inspection of the roads and seen the severity of the problem.

The minister also directed Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike to ask contractors to take the responsibility of maintaining the roads. This, he said, should be done while handing out tenders for road works.
