HYDERABAD: In tune with policy of creating one lakh job opportunities, the state government have accorded permission to APTransco and four Discoms for recruitment to 6,263 posts.Principal secretary (Energy), Dinesh Kumar who held a tele-conference with power officials on Saturday, said the power utilities have taken a decision to recruit posts in various cadres to create employment opportunities for the youth.The managing directors of APTransco Ajay Jain and MDs of Discoms Anantha Ramu, Ahmed Nadeem, Ch Narsimha Reddy, K Vidya Sagar Reddy and joint managing director (HRD), APTransco K Ranganatham informed that they are planning to issue notification for recruitment to posts such as junior line man, junior assistant (LDC-cum-computer operator), sub-engineer and assistant engineer by December 15. The notification will be placed in APTransco website- www.aptransco.gov.in. The principal secretary directed officials to make foolproof arrangements for the recruitment process. He also suggested the CMDs to make the human resource wings responsible to closely monitor the recruitment process. It can be recalled that P Uma Shakar, secretary, ministry of power has declared the sector has the capacity to create six lakh jobs in the 12th Plan (2012-2017).
