New Delhi/ Jammu: After yet another ceasefire violation by Pakistan Rangers on Wednesday, the strong retaliation by Border Security Force troops forced the former to raise the white flag. Pakistan Rangers suffered four casualties while one BSF soldier was killed in the firing in Samba sector of Jammu and Kashmir.

Soon after the Pakistani force raised the white flag and asked the Indian soldiers to allow then to lift the bodies of their soldiers' bodies, BSF troops stopped firing. "The Pakistanis waved white flags and asked to stop firing and allow them to lift their soldiers' bodies. We acted as per rules and stopped the fire," said the Inspector General of BSF (Jammu) Rakesh Kumar Sharma.

"The first fire along the IB on Indian outpost came around 11:40 am on Wednesday and we retaliated with full force," said the officer. Four Pakistan Rangers were killed in retaliatory fire.

BSF constable Sri Ram was killed after Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing along the International Border at a patrolling party in Samba earlier on Wednesday. "Pakistan opened fire on our patrolling party although the team was carrying flags that identify patrolling party. The fire left one of our trooper dead," he added.

The soldier who was killed in the unprovoked fire is survived by wife and two children. The body will be sent to Churu, his hometown by Thursday," said the IG.

This was second incident of ceasefire violation by Pakistan in the last 24 hours.
