People eager for return of TDP regime: Babu

ELURU: People of the state are eagerly waiting for the Telugu Desam rule as it is a necessity for Telugus to uphold their pride, claims TDP state president N Chandrababu Naidu.Addressing West Godavari TDP workers here on Thursday, Naidu said: “The present political situation in the state resembles that of 1983.Only the TDP can deliver stable, efficient and transparent governance.” Naidu predicted that the Congress could not get even 20 to 25 Assembly seats in 2014 elections, exuding confidence that the TDP would win more than 200 seats.“The Congress had pledged the pride of Telugus at the feet of Delhi leaders.TDP is the only party which can uphold the self-respect of Telugus,” Naidu said.He further said there was no credible leader for the Congress in the state to run the government.“After former chief minister NT Rama Rao, I am the most credible leader in Andhra Pradesh.I stand by my word and implement the poll promises,” Naidu said.He promised to include the demand for national status for Indira Sagar Project (ISP) in TDP’s election manifesto.He expressed his displeasure over the slow progress of ISP works despite allocation of Rs 6,000 crore in the budget.Listing out the scams surfaced during the Congress rule, Naidu described the YSR Congress as the branch of poisonous tree of Congress.It would end up like Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) one day, Naidu predicted.The TDP chief alleged that after the order of CBI probe against YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the Kadapa MP had reached a secret understanding with the Congress high command.Extending his support to farmers of Kolleru lake area, he said the TDP would strive for their welfare.TDP district president Thota Sitarama Lakshmi, MLC ARM Rao, MLAs, MLCs and others were present.
