THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSEB has found fault with the State Electricity Regulatory Commission’s (SERC) orders regarding the truing-up of accounts for the 2007-08 and 2008-09 fiscals of the power utility. The KSEB has filed a fresh petition before the Commission urging it to review itsdecision on the KSEB’s finances. In the original petition filed in October 2010, the KSEB had stated that there was a revenue gap of Rs. 91.28 crore in 2007-08. Rejecting the KSEB’s arguments, the Commission concluded that the KSEB had, in fact, enjoyed a revenue surplus of Rs. 1338.29 crore that year. For the 2008-09 fiscal, the Commission had fixed the revenue gap at Rs. 429.62 crore. The KSEB had projected a gap of Rs. 749.17 crore which was not accepted by the Commission. The Commission had also asked the KSEB to ‘’adjust’’ the revenue gap against the surplus of Rs. 338.29 crore of the previous fiscal
