A father of medical student was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) in connection with the MP Professional Examination Board's (MPPEB) Pre-Medical Test (PMT) scam.
Identified as Badrilal Verma, he was arrested by the STF and produced before a court on Sunday, STF sources said.
Meanwhile, his son Kundan Verma, was also arrested and the court has remanded him to police custody till April 9, while his father was sent to judicial custody.
Kundan was studying in MBBS first year in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College in Indore and his father managed his admission through a gang involved in the scam in exchange of huge sum of money, police said.
So far, more than 30 persons, including the MPPEB's Examination Controller, Dr Pankaj Trivedi and three other officers were arrested by the STF in connection with the scam.
