Bihar Vigilance bureau on Monday arrested a police station officer in charge of Vaishali district on the charge of accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 at his home. Acting on a complaint, a team of state Vigilance bureau raided official quarter of the Jandaha police station head Vijay Kumar Singh within the police station premises and caught him red handed accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 for settling a case.

The accused was produced in the special vigilance court Muzaffarpur and forwarded to jail. The Bihar vigilance bureau intensifying its operation has set up 31 trap cases so far in 2013 and arrested 33 accused.
