New Delhi: Police suspect Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) and banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) are behind the serial blasts in suburban trains in Mumbai.
The seven synchronised blasts, that were all high-intensity, killed atleast 190 people and left over 400 others injured.
The magnitude of the sychronised blasts have conclusively pointed to the use of RDX by the attackers, official sources said on Wednesday.
Several modules of LeT and SIMI were busted and huge amount of explosive materials, including RDX, were recovered during raids at various places in Aurangabad, Nasik and Nagpur in last two months, they said.
During investigations, it also came to light that similar modules of LeT were actively operating in several towns of Maharashtra besides Hyderabad and Bangalore.
