When there was communal violence in the district, police arrested 600 culprits. Among them, 400 were from the Billawa community. Even in the home stay attack, a majority of the culprits are from the Billawa community,” he said.Emphasising the need for self-confidence, he said children should not commit suicide if they get negative results in exams. Respecting elders, hard work and patience are the most important qualities one should possess, he added.Lauding the efforts of BDNE in disbursing scholarships to poor students and medical assistance to the needy, he said that students who have been provided scholarships should inform BDNE when they secure good jobs.BDNE has disbursed Rs 2.30 lakh to the needy to meet their medical costs.
