HYDERABAD: AICC general secretary and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s assurance to Uttar Pradesh voters that he strive for bringing that state on a par with Andhra Pradesh in respect of development and welfare measures is a ‘big certificate’ to Andhra Pradesh Government, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said.Addressing a g group of people from Medak at his camp office here on Friday to express gratitude for the promises he made to the district during Rachabanda, Reddy said his government had been effectively implementing all the schemes, including those implemented during the seven-year rule of YS Rajasekhara Reddy, for the benefit of people. There was no family in the state without being benefited from the schemes implemented by the government, he said, adding, “Even my family is getting `25 subsidy on an LPG cylinder,” he remarked.The chief minister called upon the district Congress leaders to strive for Congress’ win in all the Assembly constituencies in the district in the next election. At present, the party holds eight seats.
