KARIAPATTI: Officers of the CBI raided a private spinning mill at Aruppukkottai on Friday. It was said that the raid was conducted on information that the owner of the mill had paid `5 crore to Y S Jaganmohan Reddy. Reddy, son of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Y S Rajasekara Reddy, recently quit the Congress and floated his own YSR Congress party. As charges were levelled against him for amassing wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income, the Andhra High Court had ordered a probe into the charges. Hence, the CBI conducted raids in his houses and those of his supporters.For one such raid, the CBI officers visited a private spinning mill on Thiruchuzhi Road in Aruppukkottai. Sources said the CBI officers had came across some incriminating documents.The owner of the mill has a cement factory in Kurnool in Andhra. He is said to be close to Reddy and is said to have paid him `5 crore.
