Rains lash several parts of Rajasthan; Shahbad records heaviest downpour

Rains continued to lash several parts of Rajasthan on Wednesday with Shahbad in Baran district recording heaviest downpour.

Shahbad saw 12 cm of rains and was followed by Chabbra that received 7 cm of rainfall.

Other places in Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur and Jodhpur divisions also recorded below 5 cm rains till Wednesday morning.

Chittorgarh, Dabok and Ajmer gauged 20, 12.2 and 1.4 mm rainfall till evening today, according to the MeT department in Jaipur.

The weather department predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places in eastern Rajasthan during the next 48 hours.
