Raj TV MD joins hand with DMK

Chennai: RAJ TV Managing Director M Rajhendharan on Friday joined the ruling DMK, giving a solid back up to the DMK-RAJ TV combine, which is all set to launch Kalaignar TV on August 15.

Rajhendharan, a DMK sympathiser, called on DMK President and Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the party headquarters, Anna Arivalayam and joined the party by garlanding the leader and presenting him with a crown of flowers.

"I accept this as my birthday gift," Mr Karunanidhi said after formally inducting Mr Rajhendharan into the party.

Senior leaders and Ministers Arcot N Veerasamy, M K Stalin and K Ponmudi were present on the occasion.

Rajhendharan's brothers Rajaratnam, Raveendran and Reghunathan also joined the party after calling on the Dravidian patriarch.
