BJP state president Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday promised to bring in a new energy policy for Rajasthan if voted to power in the coming Assembly elections. Addressing a rally in Barmer district as part of her 'Suraj Sankalp Yatra', Raje said a new policy is the need of the hour to ensure that people get their share in the harnessing of energy from sources like solar and wind.
She alleged that the Ashok Gehlot-led government was presenting manipulated figures on school education in the rural areas of the state. "There are schools, but while in some of them the teachers are absent, in some others, the drop out rate is alarming," she said. Raje also criticised the state government's free drug distribution and diagnostic facility at government hospitals, and termed it a "publicity stunt".
