ANGAMALY: The World Sight Day was observed under the joint auspices of Samanwaya Cultural Forum of Kalady Sanskrit University and Angamaly Little Flower Hospital by organising a rally to spread the message of the need and ways to protect eyesight on Thursday. The rally was flagged off by Angamaly Circle Inspector V Babu. Little Flower Hospital director Fr Sebastian Vadakkumbadan presided over the inaugural session. Thousand of brochures, explaining the methods to protect the eye-sight, how to diagnose the disease from the symptoms, the ways to find the silent killer of eyesight-Glaucoma and cancer in the eye, have been distributed in the rally.Little Flower Hospital asst directors Fr Varghese Ponthembilly and Fr Rojan Nangelimyalil, Samanwaya Cultural Forum secretary C C George, Little Flower Hospital administrator P V Thomas and head of ophthalmic department Dr Thomas Cherian led the celebrations and the rally.
