Groove to rock n roll music by The Other People at Hard Rock Cafe on July 28, 8 pm onwards.The Other People is a band from Mumbai. They do not classify themselves or come under any particular genre; and they cover everything from rock to pop to rock ‘n’ roll to blues to reggae and even some retro.They have been playing around the country for about seven years now and are soon coming out with their debut album. They were recently the opening act for two big international artistes on their tours to India in 2010, the first one being American rockers Saving Abel and the second being Danish Popstars Michael Learns To Rock.The band ensures that all their shows are filled with energy, retro and current songs that people of all ages can relate to and just basically alot of fun. Amongst musicians the band completely adore Def Leppard, U2, Bon Jovi, Queen, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Dire Straits, Nickelback, Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, U2, Elvis Presley and Queen.The band debuted with a frenzied night of classic rock and rock and roll at Not Just Jazz By The Bay, Mumbai in July 2004. Jam-packed shows and many rehearsals later, The Other People had Mumbai’s nightlife abuzz and became hugely popular for their Rock and Roll renditions and qualified soft rock, retro; and rock and roll as their distinguishable genre.With reggae and blues coming a close second, the band has a wide audience and fan following of people aged anything between 16 and 60 plus, and more often than not, the band ensures that they ‘dance till they drop’ Known to bring an original twist into each track, the band never fails to surprise an audience and has them hooked.
