Resident doctors of Sawai Man Singh government hospital here on Friday called off their strike after assurance of proper security arrangements by the hospital administration.
The residents went on strike yesterday after attendant of a patient allegedly manhandled a resident doctor.
They demanded action against the attendant and appropriate security so that such incident could be prevented in future.
A meeting of a 13-member committee, which was formed yesterday, was held today in which the issues were discussed.
The agitating residents were given assurance of proper security arrangements following which they called off the strike, Additional Superintendent of the Hospital Dr Ajit Singhsaid.
He informed that the hospital administration will ensure that no attendant is given entry without a valid pass issued by the hospital.
