RGHUS V-C seeks extension

BANGALORE: The current ViceChancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGHUS) Dr S Ramanadna Shetty is allegedly applying for an extension of his post, as his term in office will expire on July 13.
Two others closely associated with RGHUS Syndicate member and homeopathy practitioner Dr B T Rudresh and former RGHUS registrar Dr Vasantha Kumar S too are said to be in the fray.Other candidates considered by the threemember search committee headed by former ViceChancellor of Bangalore University, Dr M S Thimmappa are Dr Sachidananda, of the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Bangalore University Vice Chancellor Dr Prabhu Dev, cardiologist from Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology Dr Vijayalakshmi Balakundri, Medical Education Director Dr A R Aruna, and Director of Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences Dr H S Shankare Gowda.
