BANGALORE: Vartur police have arrested notorious rowdy Sunil (28) and his four associates in connection with the murder case of rowdy sheeter Anil.
The other accused have been identified as Sunil alias Sonna (20), Santosh alias Galata (21), Askar alias Dose (20) and Anand alias Kembara (20). Anil was murdered on June 20. The investigations have revealed that accused Sunil had an illicit relationship with one of the relatives of Anil. Both Sunil and Anil were accused in the murder case of one Auto Chandra and after that murder the duo tried to take control of criminal activities in the city. Rivalry between the two led Sunil to plan to eliminate Anil. Sunil confessed to the crime during interrogation, the police said.

The accused were hiding in a house in Hegganur village in Kanakapur taluk and they were arrested from there on July 2. "Once Sunil and Anil were the close aides of notorious goon JCB Narayana. Later they had split and and formed their own teams. Their fight go gain supremacy over underworld ended in Anil's murder," the police added.

The deceased has been identified as Abdul Akheem. The incident took place on the Kaggadasapura Main Road near DRDO.
