A teenaged girl was allegedly raped by three youths in Kirthal village of Baghpat district, police said on Wednesday. The alleged incident took place on January 30, but a complaint in this regard was registered by the victim's family today, they said.
The victim is a resident of Biral village in the nearby Muzaffarnagar district. According to the complaint, on January 30, accused Manoj, Sumit, and Gudda kidnapped the girl from Biral village and took her to Kirthal village. There, they gave her some sedative and raped her turn wise.
The victim's family said they reported the matter so late as they were scared of the accused. The girl has been sent for medical examination and a case had been registered against the accused, police said. Efforts are on to arrest them, they added.
