CHENNAI: Though the batting hero of the fourth One Day International Virender Sehwag skipped the last match, his schedule seems to be full even as the Indian team gets ready to embark on the difficult tour of Australia. At Park Sheraton on Monday, Sehwag took some time off his busy schedule, to distribute certificates and cricket goodies to winners of a contest organised by Boost, of which the dashing opener is a brand ambassador. Winners, who were mostly employees of GlaxoSmithKline, and their family members assembled at the 50-seater auditorium at Park Sheraton dressed in Boost's trademark red T-shirts. Fans were seen sporting tri-colour marks on their cheeks with Sehwag written in bold letters. The opener wished Boost success in its business. Sehwag was also awarded a memento for his historic and record-breaking 219 in the fourth One Day International against West Indies. The audience had a gala time with the comperes organising many fun-filled events for them. The viral hit Kolaveri drew the most attention. A girl performed Bharatanatyam to the hit song and in the process, earned a resounding applause from the audience. Some games played during the event had the audience in splits. All were given the incentive of getting photographed with the Indian opener. However, they were a tad disappointed when Sehwag rushed back to join his team members. But Sehwag's fans, it seems, would cherish the event for long as watching the great player in flesh and blood was something they hadn't hoped for.
