A two-day international seminar on US Presidential elections was inaugurated by US political cartoonist by Daryl Cagle at Sacred Heart College Thevara on Wednesday.
Organised by US Consulate Chennai, South Indian American Studies Network, Kerala Chapter, and various departments of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, the seminar had three sessions. ‘Key issues and current trends on US Presidential elections 2012’ was chaired by Daryl Cagle, ‘Role of Media on US Presidential elections’ was chaired by A M Thomas, School of International Relations, MG University, and US presidential elections and US Foreign policy chaired by G Gopakumar, former dean, Social Sciences, University of Kerala.
Fulbright Nehru scholar Eric M Jepson of Kerala University, former MP Sebastian Paul, Sarah Talalay, consultant officer of US Consulate General, Chennai, former Ambassador T P Sreenivasan, vice-chairman and executive head, Kerala State Higher Education Council and Peter.
