Senior IAS officer, family members shot dead in Orissa
All the victims had bullet injuries on their head, police said.

New Delhi: A senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Jagadananda Panda and four of his family members were found dead under mysterious circumstance in Bargarh district of Orissa on Friday.

The incident occurred at around 0200 hours IST at Panda's residence in Deogaon village, Bargarh.

All the victims had bullet injuries on their head. Apart from Panda, the four other victims include his wife, father and two of his sisters. A service revolver was also found near the body of Panda.

The dead bodies have been taken to the VSS Medical College and Hospital at Burla.

Panda, who was posted in New Delhi on deputation in the Overseas Affairs Ministry, had come to his village two days ago.

A few days ago, the CBI had reportedly raided Panda’s Delhi office.
