New Delhi: While twists and turns continue in RTI activist Shehla Masood's murder case, here is something that not many would have expected. Aarsh Sharif, a 22-year-old boy who happens to be Shehla's brother, went for the audition of MTV Roadies 9 in Hyderabad and has also been selected as one of the Roadies.

Like any other contestant, when Aarsh was asked to introduce himself, he spoke just about himself, mentioning nowhere that he is Shehla's brother. It was only when judges Raghu and Rajiv asked him about RTI activism mentioned in his form, that he spoke of how his sister was shot dead at point blank range.

Another interesting fact is that Aarsh says he's been trying to crack the Roadies auditions for the past four years. And since what he calls is his 'mental strength', nothing can deter him from being a Roadie.

Being Shehla Masood's brother, Aarsh's interview had two parts. One was where he spoke about Shehla and going the trauma of her murder.

Aarsh says, "Sir, my sister was shot dead. She was an RTI activist and was going for an Anna Hazare demonstration on August 16 last year when she was shot dead." And the judges are shocked "Oh you're her brother," says Raghu. Aarsh says, "I just can't explain how I felt when i was burying my sister..."

But the second part was where he was asked to just be himself, and tell the judges why he deserved to be on Roadies. When asked about his strength and weakness, Aarsh said he had the ability to read people's minds, but his weakness was that he was an emotional person who could be driven away at times.

The judges also felt Aarsh was not as physically fit and would not be able to give his best in physical tasks. But Aarsh remained firm on the fact that he has faced all hardships with strength and so, his mental strength will help him perform all tasks with full determination.

To be sure about this, Raghu and Rajiv gave him a task then and there. He was asked to fold a piece of paper 10 times. Aarsh tried hard and when he found it difficult to fold the paper after 8 folds, he used his teeth to complete the task. After the task, he again stressed on the fact that he was mentally strong.

Raghu and Rajiv were impressed with Aarsh and he is now a Raodies contestant. It remains to be seen how the journey of Shehla Masood's brother comes along on Roadies, which starts on Saturday, March 17.
