BANGALORE: Independent MLA B Sriramulu seems to be in a mood to seek revenge against the BJP by working against Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda in the December 22 legislative council election. Addressing reporters here on Friday, Sriramulu claimed that he had the support of 22 MLAs and he would support the Congress and JD(S) if they field a common candidate against Gowda. “I would discuss this with JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy and KPCC president G Parameshwar,” he added.Sriramulu also confirmed that he would float his own political outfit to be tentatively called as BSR Party. While B stands for ‘Badavaru’ (poor), S and R stand for ‘Shramikaru’ (labourers) and ‘Raitharu’ (farmers) respectively. “Rather than joining other parties, I have decided to float my own party. I will open office of my party in Bangalore soon,” Sriramulu said. The office is likely to come up in Sadashivanagar, the most expensive locality in Bangalore. Sriramulu, who handed a humiliating defeat to the ruling BJP in the recently held Bellary byelection, is likely to visit Delhi to register his party with the election commission. Based on the availability, the EC will grant the symbol and the name.
