SRK says he will boycott remaining matches of IPL
The owner of Kolkata Knight Riders has an issue with ICC's code of conduct.

New Delhi: Owner of Kolkata Knight Riders Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday said that he will boycott the remaining matches of the DLF-IPL tournament till the code of conduct was clarified by the Indian Premier League (IPL) and cricketing authorities.

The superstar on Sunday had expressed disappointment with the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit for barring him from going to the team dugout and dressing room.

The Anti-Corruption Unit officials had cautioned Shah Rukh about going into the dressing room and the team dugout during the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings.

Shah Rukh had then said, "I like to hang around with the boys. I am very energetic. I am very disappointed that the ICC has stopped me. I don't know the ICC rules. I'll tell only one thing that nobody dare stop me from coming to Kolkata. I'll be there whenever my team plays a match at the Eden."

However, IPL on Monday clarified that one team owner was allowed to be in the dugout during the matches. Besides the team owner, the franchise can also allow in four others for 15 minutes into the dugouts.

Kolkata Knight Riders are all but out of the IPL, however Shah Rukh has urged the team to keep their chin up.

He has also clarified that there are no differences between him and skipper Sourav Ganguly.

In an emotional SMS to his team SRK said: "Right now, all of us have become part of a failed script, a bad IPL script. Let's try and keep our chin up. Do ignore this bit about Dada, me and John having issues. The beauty of failure is that it brings people together.

So, let's stick this out together. I am too much of a sport myself to get beaten by defeats. I am not the kind of owner who has issues with the team because of losses.

I am still trying to understand the code of conduct expected of me at the matches by the ICC. After I understand it, I will decide whether to accept it or no. I will be with you guys at the hotel, in the meetings etc, but won't come for the matches.

I am as dedicated to my Knights as I am to my kids. So, head's up. Have a good match and let's make 200 runs tomorrow."

What's your reaction?
