CHENNAI: For Hansraj Saxena, the Chief Operating Officer of Sun Pictures, trouble seems to come in threes. This time around, a producer lodged a police complaint against him, alleging extortion to the tune of Rs 3.37 crore at Kodambakkam, on Monday.In his complaint, Nemi Chand Sabak (50) claimed that he had sold the distribution rights of his Tamil film Mapillai starring Dhanush to Sun TV pictures for Rs 17 crore. Saxena paid Rs 15 crore and asked him to take over the distribution rights for Coimbatore region for the remaining amount. Later, the Sun TV head claimed that the film did not do well at the box office and forced him to pay Rs 3.37 crore.Kodambakkam police registered a complaint against Saxena and arrested him. With this, the Sun TV head has been arrested thrice. In the first case against Saxens, he was arrested by the K K Nagar police following a complaint of cheating to the tune of Rs 83 lakh lodged by TS Selvaraj, the Salem-based owner of Kandan Films. Subsequently, he was arrested for the second time in connection with another complaint of cheating and criminal intimidation lodged by Salem-based Saravana Films distributor, Shanmughavelu.
