Pradeep Kumar, hailing from Jharkhand and reportedly belonging to the People's War Group, was apprehended from Rohini area.
New Delhi: A suspected Maoist belonging to People's War Group was arrested in the capital, police said on Friday.
Pradeep Kumar, hailing from Jharkhand, was apprehended from Rohini area on Thursday, a senior police official said.
Acting on a tip off about his presence in the area, he said, a team of Crime Branch laid a trap and caught him. Kumar is being questioned by police.
He was allegedly hiding in Noida since February 2012. He escaped to Delhi when there was a crackdown on a Maoist training camp in the Saryu forests, in which seven Naxals were killed.
Kumar has reportedly been with the Peoples War Group since 1990.
