New Delhi: Pune-based Swipe Telecom has launched a new tablet in India at Rs 4,990. Named the Swipe Slice, the tablet is available to purchase exclusively on Amazon.in. The tablet has a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This dual-SIM tablet runs Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and supports voice calling.

At its heart is a 1.3GHz MT8312 dual-core processor alongwith 512MB of RAM. The tablet has 4GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB, and has a 3000mAh battery. The Swipe Slice tablet comes with a connectivity suite that includes EDGE, Bluetooth v 4.0, WiFi, USB port and GPS/AGPS.

The back shell of the Slice has a proprietary diamond pattern. The Slice comes in 5 colour options- Black, Red, Blue, Yellow, and White.

Swipe Telecom hopes to log around Rs 5 crore turnover per month in the southern markets while the company has pegged an annual turnover target of around Rs 300 crore, said a senior official.
