Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday stressed on taking the results of agriculture-based research works to the cultivators, saying the real goal of such works would be achieved only when it will benefit farmers.
"The goal of research works would be achieved only when it benefits the farmers," the Chief Minister said while inaugurating the second UP agriculture science Congress here.
He said farmers would be the most-affected persons by global warming and agri scientists can work in the direction of saving the farmers from its ill-effects through their research works.
Calling upon the agri-scientists to work together with the state government, he said "several parts in the state have been declared as dark zones due to downfall in the ground water level, particular in Bundelkhand region, and we will have to work together to tackle the situation."
Yadav said the grain markets can play important role in controlling inflation.
