BANGALORE: Nearly 3,000 members of Arogya Kavacha 108 Ambulance Employees Association continued their protest on Thursday. The members of the association were not satisfied with the chief minister’s response to their demands. After a meeting with the chief minister, M S Praskash, vice-president, 108 EMRI ambulance, said that the meeting remained futile as the matter was not discussed in detail with the chief minister. “The CM only said that despite appealing to the members, they are on strike. We looking into the demands. But he did not inform us as to which are these two demands”, he added.Meanwhile GVK EMRI maintained in its release that they have managed to put back 398 ambulances into service across the state in various districts with the help of state government by Thursday afternoon. GVK EMRI has so far addressed to about 15,500 incoming calls and 1,250 emergency calls. The members have decided to continue the protest on Friday also.
