BANGALORE: University Vivesvaraya College of Engineering organises the InspironTechno Management Fest every year.The Inspiron-2011 was inaugurated by BOSCH human resource, chief Prasad, at University Vivesvaraya College of Engineering.Speaking on the occassion Prasad said, “It is not only necessary for the students to acquire soft skills but also involve in good live projects, to enhance their carrer and employability in reputed companies.” Inspiron-2011 is a techno management initiatives that has been supported by BOSCH for the fourth consecutive year.This program focuses on overall personality development of the students.It provides the students an opportunity to compete against the best minds.The two day technical event is ground breaking with rich mix of programmes which aimed at improving the technical, aptitude, analytical, communication and managerial skills of the students.Inspiron consist of black tie, a business quiz and case study, share bazaar, a mock stock game, steal job-rigorous levels of aptitude test, group discussion and stress interviews giving them the insight to actual recruitment process.Dr Venugopal KR, principal, UVCE, said that the students should concentrate on acquiring indepth knowledge rather than getting marks or jobs.He averred that students of UVCE are meritious, hardworking and humble.Events like Mecamind, Blitzkreig, Techno hunt were brilliant additions.In Mecamind, contestants are required to design unique 3D models.On the otherhand, Blitzkreig is a fun filled gaming event and in technno hunt participants need to solve cryptic clues-virtual as well as physical, in tandem to reach the ultimate prize.It is to be noted that more than two thousand students from various engineering colleges in the city actively participated in INSPIRON-2011 and the positive response received out of the event had put the spirits of the students on a different pedestal.
