New Delhi: 'Tere Bin Laden' director Abhishek Sharma, who received rave reviews for making an outstanding comic satire is back with his next movie 'The Shaukeens'. The movie stars veteran actors Anupam Kher, Annu Kapoor and Piyush Mishra in key roles. While Akshay Kumar features in a cameo as himself; actress Lisa Haydon is plays his die-hard fan.
Earlier, buzz had it that the movie is a remake of the original 'Shaukeen' released in 1982. But Sharma made it clear that it's just the characters which are same, while the storyline is entirely different from the original movie.
Will 'The Shaukeens' manage to tickle the funny bones of the audience or will it be another bland adult comedy? Akshay Kaushal from IBNLive.com was inside the theatre to find out.
