Traffic diversion around Minsk Square

BANGALORE: In view of fifth stage of traffic diversion around Minsk Square for the underground metro station, the stretch between CTO and GPO will get partially closed and the traffic will be navigated through Patta Road and King’s Road.This will lead to further congestion on Queen’s Road between Balekundri and Queen’s junction, said City Police Commissioner Jyothiprakash Mirji in a press release.It further states that to reduce the congestion, 966 trips of BMTC pertaining to 129 routes emerging out of Shivajingar bus depot have been diverted to Cubbon Road via Hospital Road, Bowring Hospital Gate and Lady Curzon Road. Necessary notifications have been issued separately.2-year waitCommuters and bus passengers are requested to take note of this change and co-operate with traffic police in managing diversion.These changes will be in place for two years.
