TSRs 16-day yagam for Sonias recovery

VISAKHAPATNAM: Congress Rajya Sabha member T Subbarami Reddy on Friday started a 16-day Suryabhagavan yagam and Maha Mrityunjaya yagam for speedy recovery of AICC president Sonia Gandhi, who underwent a surgery in the USA recently.Talking to newsmen here, Reddy said Sonia Gandhi has played a major role in strengthening the Congress party. It was only due to her efforts that some of the MPs of the state could become ministers in the Central cabinet, he added.Stating that Visakhapatnam- Shirdi weekly express train has been extended due to his efforts, Reddy said he would try to divert some more trains towards Visakhapatnam.
