New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor has shown the courage to break free from the stereotypical roles so far. A glimpse of his latent potential became visible in last year’s ‘Rockstar’. He displayed swift transition of emotions with ease in Imtiaz Ali’s saga of love and passion. This time Anurag Basu is wielding the megaphone for Ranbir in ‘Barfi!’.

The film has generated a lot of interest among the audiences via its promos and melodious music. Though the focus will remain on Ranbir Kapoor, but Priyanka Chopra will also be expected to come up with a power-packed performance as an autistic girl. Ileana D’Cruz can be spared as this is her first film in Hindi.

Anurag Basu’s last film ‘Kites’ hadn’t done well at the box office, so he would also be feeling the heat.
