The driver of the vehicle was arrested on charges of driving the vehicle allegedly in a rash and negligent manner, which resulted in the child's death.
Hyderabad: A two-year-old boy died when a battery operated vehicle hit him on the premises of the Nehru Zoological Park here, police said on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon when the boy had gone to the zoo along with members of his family, they said. The driver of vehicle was arrested on Wednesday on charge of driving the vehicle allegedly in rash and negligent manner resulting in the child's death, police said.
The family was returning after seeing the animals when the vehicle hit the boy. The child was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital and he died on the way, a police official said.
