KOCHI: Opposition deputy leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that the UDF government is fast distancing itself from the public. After inaugurating the state meeting of the Kerala Municipal and Corporation Staff Union here on Saturday, Kodiyeri said there were already problems in the education sector. On the self-financing college issue Kodiyeri said: “When the LDF Government was in power, the managements were made to agree to the seat-sharing pattern. But now it has been changed. The LDF had taken steps to end the commercialisation of the sector. If the UDF Government tries to change it, that will have far reaching consequences.” The LDF had taken another major policy decision to bring in a system to transfer government employees. It has also been changed, he said.
