HYDERABAD: V Vijay Sai Reddy was granted bail by the second additional special judge for CBI cases and was released from the Chanchalguda prison on Monday. This is the second time that Reddy, accused No 2 in the Jaganmohan Reddy assets case, was granted bail by the CBI court. Though he had been granted bail by the then special court for CBI cases judge B Nagamaruti Sarma, the CBI challenged the bail in the High Court which asked the judge to re-look into the bail. Sai Reddy surrendered in the court and was sent to prison. His fresh bail petition was heard by Nagamaruti Sarma, who is now posted as the second additional special judge after the creation of new CBI courts.Reddy was asked to furnish a personal bond for Rs 25,000 and two sureties of equal amount, to surrender his passport to the court, not to leave the city without court’s permission and to make himself available to the CBI whenever needed."The petitioner should not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the court or to the investigation agency or tamper with evidence,’’ the court said. The CBI immediately filed a petition for keeping the bail orders in abeyance for three days but the court dismissed the petition.
