Viveka apologises to CBI joint director

KADAPA:  Former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy on Saturday made a hasty retreat from the statement he had made the day before that CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana was related to Telugu Desam MLA Payyavula Kesav and that he was corrupt.Reacting to the allegation, Lakshminarayana and Kesav rubbished it as baseless. The CBI officer explained that he was investigating the case on the directions of the High Court and was not related to Kesav.Vivekananda Reddy, while withdrawing his comments, apologised to the CBI officer.“I regret calling him corrupt and being related to TDP leader. However, I stand by my other comments,’’ he said.
