In 2013, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Dr Rekha Kataria of INC by a margin of 19,602 votes which was 8.94% of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 38.25% in the seat.
In the 2008 elections, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat of BJP won this seat beating Lal Chand Kataria of INC by a margin of 2,455 votes which was 1.65% of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 46.38% in the seat.
