Mumbai keen to halt Jaipur juggernaut
Sachin Tendulkar will have to sit out of this match as well.

Mumbai: Two men who have retired from international cricket will lead their teams onto the field tonight – Shaun Pollock led Mumbai Indians will take on the Shane Warne led Rajasthan Royals.

Its the half-way point of the league and the headline remains the same for Sachin Tendulkar, who once again will have to sit out of another encounter. Although, he isn’t feeling the need to rush back in.

“No one has pressurised me to play. In fact, everyone has told me to take care of my injury and play only when I feel fully fit,” said Tendulkar.

So, there will be no revival of the legendary Warne versus Tendulkar rivalry that was one of the high points of the game for well over a decade but the Royals’ skipper isn’t too concerned about that.

“Any team minus Sachin Tendulkar will weak. Tendulkar to me is the best batsman in the world in my 20 odd years of first-class cricket,” said Warne.

Mumbai have learnt to win without Tendulkar after the initial hiccups but with just four points, they are still in the danger soon. And it will take some doing for that tally to go up in front of their home crowd.

“Rajasthan are doing really well in the tournament and it would be big for us to beat them,” said Mumbai’s acting captain, Shaun Pollock.

Be prepared for some high octane action, this has all the makings of a thriller.
