Beomgyu from the popular K-pop band Tomorrow X Together aka TXT will take a temporary break from his work commitments due to an ankle injury. According to BigHit Music, the agency for TXT, the South Korean singer has been diagnosed with a sprained ligament in his ankle after he accidentally got injured during work-related activities. Following the hospital visit, he has been advised to rest for the time being, thus explaining the reason for the break.
In a statement, BigHit Music said, “We would like to inform you about the health and future activities of TXT’s Beomgyu. Beomgyu recently visited the hospital due to an injury he suffered during his activities and was diagnosed with a sprained ligament in his ankle. We ask for your understanding that it will be difficult for him to participate in some official activities, such as Paris Fashion Week, due to the doctor’s opinion that he needs to rest for the time being.”

The agency also shared that while Beomgyu wishes to continue with his scheduled activities, they have planned to proceed as per the doctor’s opinions by keeping the artist’s recovery as the top priority. “We will do our best to help Beomgyu recover as soon as possible so he can meet fans in good health,” the statement concluded.
While Beomgyu will possibly miss the upcoming events, TXT is expected to continue its schedule which also includes multiple concerts in Japan in July and August. Similarly, they will travel to Paris with the remaining four members to attend Dior’s Men’s Summer 25 Collection Show.

The news comes just a month after Beomgyu released a soul-touching cover of Sukidakara by Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika. Showcasing his impressive vocals against the captivating visuals, the singer can be seen dressed in a school uniform as he lends his melodious voice to the song filled with the emotions of a school crush.

The K-pop boy band recently wrapped up the US leg of their ACT: Promise World Tour, going around 8 cities from May to June.
While the band will next continue with upcoming concerts in Japan, they are also set to unveil a special Japanese single album titled CHIKAI on July 3, 2024. Following this, their global tour will extend into September and October, with performances scheduled to take place in Macau, Singapore, Taipei and Jakarta.
