Janmashtami is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. He is the eighth reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. The Lord descends upon earth to restore the cosmic order, whenever there is a decline in dharma and an increase in adharma. Janmashtami falls every year on the Ashtami Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada. This year, the festival falls on August 26. The auspicious timing to observe the rituals will begin on August 25 at 9:20 pm and will continue until 10:34 pm on August 26. Devotees during that day observe fast and hold special pujas to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna. It is believed that, during this auspicious day if devotees worship Laddu Gopal according to their zodiac sign, all their wishes will come true as well as all they will also get rid of all the troubles. It will also bring happiness and prosperity in life.
