The VHP, the right-wing body that will oversee the arrangements at the consecration ceremony of Ram Temple, made the blueprint for the temple inauguration during the second day of its special meeting held on Monday. Other than VHP, the management of the entire ceremony would be taken care of by senior RSS leaders Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi and Dattatreya Hosabale.
“It’s going to be the grandest consecration ceremony (Pran Patishtha) ever and it would be made sure that all arrangements are made timely,” said Alok Kumar, International Working President, VHP.
While elaborating the plans for the consecration day, Kumar said more than 2,000 Shaurya Yatras will mark the onset of the ‘Prana Pratishtha’ celebrations beginning September-end till mid-October. The aim is to connect with more than five lakh villagers and mobilise them.
Other than the Shaurya Yatras, there are also plans to carry out Rath Yatras on various routes. “During Rath Yatras, religious meetings, ceremonies, Yagyas and awareness programme will be carried out along the route in order to unite people and to make them aware of their culture and religion,” Kumar added.
The three-day event will be telecast live in the temples in around 5 lakh villages, which will be followed by religious ceremonies and special yagyas. The entire Sanatan followers would observe the day as ‘Deepotsav’ and would light earthen lamps at their respective houses to celebrate the day, he added.
Besides, he said it would also ensure that all devotees get proper meals and Prasad. “We are setting up special kitchens for the purpose that would ensure 24×7 distribution of meals among the devotees,” he added.
Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Ayodhya to review the progress of Ram temple development works and ordered deployment of the special security forces to guard the temple and the visitors. Besides, he also stressed the need of having a fool-proof security management plan at the temple.
Also, the district administration of Ayodhya and the tourism department are carrying out a series of development works to facilitate the tourists on the day of consecration ceremony. “All development works are expected to be completed by the end of December,” said RP Singh Yadav, tourist officer, Ayodhya.
