Hardik Pandya yet to recover
India vice-captain Hardik Pandya won’t be available for the game against England in Lucknow on Sunday. According to The Times of India, Pandya is suspected to have a Grade 1 ligament tear in his ankle which he picked up while trying to field off his bowling. His injury is being monitored by Nitin Patel at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru which seems more serious than it was initially perceived.
Earlier on Tuesday, Cricketnext were the first to report that Pandya is set to miss the game against England in Lucknow. However, it was told that there was nothing serious with the all-rounder’s condition.
“Yes, Hardik is likely to miss the next match vs England in Lucknow. It is more of a precaution at this stage and nothing serious,” a BCCI official told CricketNext.
