The local train, which is the lifeline of Mumbai, has been temporarily disrupted. Central Railway has implemented a 63-hour megablock, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. While a few trains are still running at a reduced speed, their frequency is very low, with about a half-hour wait between trains. As a result, many people have opted to travel by road, leading to severe traffic congestion across Mumbai and numerous traffic jams. The megablock has also affected the artists working in Central Railway’s region. Notably, actress Supriya Pathare shared a video detailing her difficulties. She urged people to leave their homes only if absolutely necessary.
In her video, Supriya Pathare, speaking from her car, explained that her shooting schedule was disrupted. She left Thane at 8 am and, by 12:30 pm, still hadn’t reached Madh. She described the Ghodbunder area as completely jammed, with cars remaining stationary for an hour. Additionally, a container that overturned on the Mulund Airoli Bridge has exacerbated the traffic situation. She advised against leaving home unless essential, highlighting the challenges of finding food and water on the road.
Supriya Pathare also urged artists who have to reach shooting locations on time to leave their homes well in advance so as to not cause any disruption to the shoot or inconvenience to the shooting schedule.
Supriya Pathare has worked extensively in both Marathi TV shows and Marathi films. She is known for her portrayal in Pudhcha Paaul as Kanchanmala and Honar Soon Mi Hya Gharchi as Mothi Aai. Presently, she appears in the show Sadhi Manasa. Her most recent movie Naach Ga Ghuma is doing well at the box office.
In an earlier interview this year, Supriya Pathare had talked about financial difficulties she faced when her son’s restaurant shut down. Her son opened the restaurant last year and was visited by many celebrities, until a few staff members ran away causing financial damage to her son. She revealed that she had to sell some of her jewellery to get the restaurant up and running again.
